OUR STORY

Building on decades of winemaking and viticulture experience in the BC coastal climate, our dream has now been realized with the opening of Vivezza Vineyard – a family owned and operated Salt Spring Island boutique winery and vineyard.

We believe in an intimate relationship between ourselves, the land and the vines. Exceptional wines come from this connection. We’ve dedicated over 20 years to researching new disease-resistant grape varieties, learning the nuances of each and selecting the best to create our signature Modern Series. Balancing tradition and innovation, we’ve crafted our first small batch selections of dry white and red wines – made from both our modern varieties and traditional vinifera, and sourced from the fruit of our own vineyards and other vineyards on the islands. We look forward to offering an expanding selection in the coming vintages.

AVAILABLE AT THE WINERY AND LOCAL PRIVATE LIQUOR STORES. Total production of about 550 cases means some wines will sell out soon. 

MODERN SERIES
The heart of Vivezza Vineyard. Borne from decades of research, observation, learning and selection, our Modern Series features new disease-resistant varieties bred for their unique & intriguing flavours.

CORIVESE

A full-bodied coastal red wine. Firm tannins, generous fruit and a long finish. Aged in French Oak barrels.

EPICURE

A dry, lush, concentrated, barrel-fermented white. 100% Salt Spring Island grapes, including the very first of our estate harvest.

PETITE MILO

A full-bodied, dry white with a big mouth feel and lingering flavours. Ask us about the name!

TRADITIONAL SERIES
Our Traditional Series draws out the vibrant BC coastal flavours our region is known for. Sourced from Old Vine Vinifera blocks on Salt Spring and Vancouver Islands.

CHARDONNAY
Once in a decade we’re able to produce a varietal Chardonnay wine. This is the one in ten, a special barrel-fermented white from our old vine block on Salt Spring Island.

ORTEGA
An aromatic tank-fermented dry white, bursting with flavour from this relatively unknown German grape that’s perfectly suited to the BC Coastal Islands.

PINOT NOIR
A classic, elegant, lighter coastal-style Pinot. Tank-fermented followed by seven months in older French Oak barrels for a hint of oak.
